Cigar Taste Testers Needed!

Hey Guys,

Yup, you read it right, cigar taste testers are needed by Cigar Warehouse over in Plano (NE corner of the Tollway & Park in Plano)! Here's the deal as told by Cigar Warehouse:

Stop by this week and tell the folks at Cigar Warehouse that you want to be a C•W ERdM taster. They will hand you an El Rey del Mundo Olvidados Chateaux “R” and testing result form. Smoke the cigar; and let them know what you think by filling out the form and returning it to them at the store. Your results will be published on the store's website:
http://www.cigarwarehousetx.com/.

The ERdM Olvidados is the newest brand extension of the popular and fastidiously crafted El Rey del Mundo cigar brand. Made for Cuban Imports, Ltd. by General in the Villazon factory in Danli, Honduras, these cigars were just released in October to a limited number of cigar shops. Ours arrived today. Packed 20 per box, they are comprised of deeply aged Nicaraguan Ligero, Honduran viso and Dominican seco filler tobaccos. Marco Lean, HATSA production manager, says “Of all of our renowned brands, El Rey del Mundo ® OLVIDADOS is the strongest blend our factory produces”.

They are opening just one box of the ERdM\nOlvidados “Chateaux R”, their 5-inch by 54-ring cigar for the taste test, so be one of the first 20 volunteers to become a tester of this new release and highly acclaimed cigar. Offer expires at close of business, Friday, 12/7, or until they have emptied the box.

So if you manage to swing by there and are able to score one of those beauties, let us know over here at Dallas Cigars. And if they ask you where you heard about this cool offer, let them know that you heard about it from Dallas Cigars! Hope to hear from you soon.

Event - Johnnie Walker Blue Label Scotch Tasting, Saturday December 8th 2pm - 5pm @ Sigel's in Addison

Hey Guys,

I wanted to let you know about a pretty rare event I just found out about - there will be an alcohol tasting event over at Sigel's in Addison on Saturday, December 8th from 2pm - 5pm. Yeah, there's alcohol tastings all the time you say, but how many times do you see a tasting for Johnnie Walker Blue Label Scotch? Yup, you read that right, they will be having a tasting of Johnnie Walker Blue Label Scotch, as well as Johnnie Walker Gold Label Scotch with Brand Ambassador Emily Kennedy. Here's the details:

When: Saturday, December 8th
2pm - 5pm
Where: Sigel's Liquors in Addison
15003 Inwood Road
Cost: FREE!
RSVP: REQUIRED (duh) - Contact Tommy Clark at store05@sigels.com or (972) 387-9873.

From Sigel's:

Created from the rarest and most expensive whiskies in the world, Blue Label has the authentic character and flavor of a traditional nineteenth century blend, just like those that John Walker and his son Alexander developed for their most valued customers. Blue Label is made from a few exceptional whiskies with powerful flavors. At the heart of Blue Label is Royal Lochnagar a rare malt distilled near Balmoral, the Queen's holiday home. Around 15 other mature and precious whiskies are added to balance Blue Label perfectly – ‘a blend that cannot be beat' (Alexander Walker, 1888). In 1993, a panel of international experts at the International Wine and Spirit Competition awarded Johnnie Walker Blue Label its most prestigious medal, the Gold Medal for the Best Blended Whisky.

Each bottle is precious and is individually numbered. The label's blue-green bottle made of flint glass has been faithfully recast from a 19th century Walker bottle mold, and its rare contents are secured by a traditional cork stopper rather than a screw cap. Each bottle is individually numbered as a cast-iron guarantee of authenticity and is cradled in a satin-lined presentation box as befits a blend made up of some of the world's rarest whiskies.

Join Tommy Clark at the Addison Sigle's liquor store (15003 Inwood Road) on Saturday, December 8th from 2-5pm as Brand Ambassador Emily Kennedy leads us in a tasting of this special whisky.

This sounds like it ought to be a fun event to attend on Saturday. If they ask you where you heard about the event, tell them that you heard about it from Dallas Cigars!
